November Patrol Meeting Scheduled

The patrol holds its first meeting of the 2010 – 2011 season on Sunday, November 14, at 6:00 PM in the upstairs film room at Northfield Mountain's Visitor Center.

The www.nmnsp.org website first went online November 3, 2003. Has it really been that long ago?

Telluride film

For thirty-one years, Mountainfilm in Telluride Festival has achieved a reputation for exciting, high-adventure short films which target adrenaline junkies. The festival also screens documentaries on culture, nature, and environmental issues. The best of these, about a dozen each year, go on tour around the country and world.

Mountainfilm in Telluride comes to Hampshire College in Amherst on Saturday, 27 February, as part of the Five College Outdoor Festival. Screening time is 7 to 10 PM.

After meeting three years at Northfield Mountain, the Avalanche, Mountain Travel & Rescue, and Nordic instructors of the NSP Eastern Division have moved to a new venue. The AMN annual refresher will take place at Ski Big Bear, Mast Hope Mountain, in Eastern Pennsylvania, Friday to Sunday, September 17-19.
